Number Registry ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at numberregistry.co. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights regarding that information.

Information you provide directly:

• Email address — collected during purchase via Crossmint, and optionally when gifting a number to another person. Used to send your ownership certificate and service-related communications.
• Name and description — the optional name and description you associate with your number at the time of purchase. This information is written permanently to the blockchain and is publicly visible to anyone.

Information collected automatically:

• Wallet address — your Ethereum wallet address is collected as part of processing your purchase and is recorded permanently on the public blockchain. It is visible to anyone who queries the blockchain.
• Analytics data — if you accept cookies, we use Google Analytics to collect anonymised information about how visitors use the site, including pages visited, time spent, and general geographic region. This data does not identify you personally. See Section 5 (Cookies) for details.
• Server logs — our servers automatically record IP addresses, browser type, referring URLs, and timestamps for security and operational purposes. These logs are retained for up to 30 days and are not used for marketing.

Information we do not collect:

• Payment card numbers — handled entirely by Crossmint; we never see or store them.
• Government-issued identity documents.
• Social media profiles or passwords.

We use the information we collect to:

• Process your purchase and deliver your Number Certificate to your wallet.
• Send you a certificate confirmation email after a successful purchase.
• Send you a certificate email if you are the recipient of a gifted number.
• Alert you to important changes to the service (e.g. contract migrations, policy updates).
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and technical errors.
• Understand how the site is used so we can improve it (analytics, with your consent).
• Respond to your enquiries or support requests.

We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• Crossmint — our payment and minting provider. Crossmint processes your payment and manages the delivery of your NFT. Your payment details and purchase information are governed by Crossmint's Privacy Policy.
• Clerk — our authentication provider, used only for admin access. If you are an admin user, your account data is governed by Clerk's Privacy Policy.
• Resend — our email delivery provider. Your email address is passed to Resend solely to deliver your certificate. Resend does not use it for any other purpose.
• Google Analytics — if you accept analytics cookies, anonymised usage data is shared with Google. See Section 5 for details and how to opt out.
• The blockchain — your wallet address, the number you registered, and any description you provided are written permanently to the public blockchain. This is not a disclosure to a third party in the traditional sense — it is a fundamental property of how the technology works. Once on-chain, this data cannot be deleted by us or anyone else.
• Legal requirements — we may disclose information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Number Registry, our users, or the public.

We use the following types of cookies:

• Strictly necessary cookies — these are required for the site to function and cannot be disabled. They include session cookies set by Clerk for authenticated admin users, and security cookies. These do not require your consent.
• Analytics cookies — we use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors interact with the site. These cookies collect anonymised data about page views, session duration, and general location (country level). They are only set if you accept analytics cookies via the cookie banner. You can withdraw your consent at any time by clearing your browser's cookies and declining on your next visit.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or any third-party cookies for marketing purposes.

Your cookie preference is stored in your browser's local storage under the key nr_cookie_consent. To reset your preference, clear your browser's local storage for this site.

• Email address — retained for as long as needed to deliver your certificate and send essential service communications. We do not maintain a marketing email list; if you have not made a purchase in 24 months, your email address may be purged from our records.
• On-chain data (wallet address, number, description) — permanent. The blockchain cannot be altered, and this data cannot be deleted.
• Server logs — up to 30 days.
• Analytics data — Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months by default (Google's minimum). You can opt out at any time.

Depending on where you are located, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction — request that we correct inaccurate data (note: on-chain data cannot be altered).
• Deletion — request deletion of your personal data from our off-chain systems. Note that data already written to the blockchain cannot be deleted.
• Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
• Portability — request a machine-readable copy of your data.
• Withdraw consent — withdraw consent for analytics cookies at any time by clearing your cookie preference (see Section 5).

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@numberregistry.co. We will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to verify your identity before processing a request.

If you are in the European Economic Area, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Our services and infrastructure are operated primarily in the United States. If you are located outside the US, your information may be transferred to and processed in the US or other countries that may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.

We rely on the data processing agreements and transfer mechanisms maintained by our service providers — Crossmint, Resend, Google, and Clerk — where applicable. By using the Platform, you acknowledge that your information may be processed in the United States.

Number Registry is not directed to children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, contact us immediately at hello@numberregistry.co and we will take steps to delete it.

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and secure handling of private keys. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The blockchain is public and immutable. Do not register a number with a description containing sensitive personal information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes via email. Your continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
